After 3 nights in Rio, continue on to the small town of Trancoso. This town was founded as a colonial settlement by fishermen in the late 16th century and it was able to stay isolated up until the 1970’s. On your 4th night spend the evening at Aram Yami, located on the edge of Salvador’s Pelourinho. This area is known for having the largest collection of colonial-era architecture in South America. In the morning take a nice walk in the streets before catching a flight headed to the Fernando de Noronha islands.

For the rest of your trip, take time to just explore the islands peaceful landscapes and the pristine beaches. Enjoy taking nature walks and even hike the Capim Acu trail where you can stop for swimming and snorkeling in the natural pools on the trail.
