Carneros Resort and Spa - Luxury Napa Resort

With this year being full of stressful events, it was only fitting that I had another event take place, the Napa firers, two weeks before departing on this trip. However, if 2020 has taught me anything it is to not panic and to just pivot! Originally I was planning to stay at Meadowood but instead had to alter my plans to stay at Carneros Resort and Spa and it turned out to be a fabulous decision!

When arriving at Carneros Resort and Spa you immediately get the vibe of relaxed luxury farmhouse chic. Upon arriving you spot the famous red barn which is Boone Fly Cafe (you MUST get the donuts), and then you will see the bocce ball courts laid out on the beautiful lawn with vineyards all around you. As you walk to the lobby you walk pass the bright orange bikes that are free to rent and then you get to enjoy the beautiful outdoor lobby/bar that is so refreshing in the beautiful Napa weather.

One of the many things that I loved about Carneros Resort and Spa are all the different room options. Carneros is not like your typical resort. You will not have to walk through any hallways to get to your room. Instead you get to walk around the lush gardens to find you personal cottage. The rooms range from one bedroom cottages, two bedroom cottages (either as one unit or have a courtyard in the middle), to even residences. Every cottage has an outdoor shower and some even have an outdoor tub! The rooms also have tons of sun light, and an extra perk is you are able to completely slide the glass door to open up one entire wall of your room. I specifically remember laying in bed drinking my coffee as the entire wall was open and there warm sunlight cascading over our room as my husband sat outside by the gas bonfire pit (all the rooms have one too) reading his book. It was one of my favorite moments of the entire trip! I can’t forget to mention that every room has an automatic wine dispenser that can dispense wine on demand! Head on over to my Instgram @journeysbyabby to my highlight story on Napa to see for yourself and watch the videos of Carneros Resort and Spa and my trip to Napa.

I can’t forget to mention the amazing pool, spa, and food! After a full day of wine tasting we would take a dip in the pool/jacuzzi which usually looked at a stunning sunset over the vineyards. Followed by drinks at the bar to listen to live music while enjoying some fine wine by our very own firer pit. In the mornings we would get to enjoy the delicious breakfast. There is even a caviar add on if you are feeling up to it!

All in all this was truly one of my favorite resorts that I have stayed at in the USA. Top 5 for sure! I can’t wait to go back!
