The more I explored, the more I wanted to share my experience with my daughter, friends, and the world!
I founded Journeys Yacht & Travel in 2008 to encourage other travelers to live their dreams. I have appeared nationally on Fox and Friends news and Oprah XM Radio for my travel expertise as well as prepared incentive travel for the Discovery Channel.
My work in business development and project management gave me the opportunity to live in Africa, Latin America, and Europe. I love to embrace the destination as a local—whether attending a traditional wedding in a tiny Shangaan village in Mozambique, or riding wild horses with the Rapa Nui in Easter Island. My diverse travel experiences range from flying in prop planes across the bush to work with NGOs building schools, to attending iconic events such as the St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship in Aspen.
Journeys’ approach to travel planning is to put ourselves in our clients’ shoes—to envision their dream trip and then exceed expectations with our destination experience, insider knowledge, and global connections.
Most memorable travel experience?
That is so hard to say! As each place holds its own special memory and unique take-away about the world and people around us. If I had to choose, it would be Singita Lodges in Tanzania where my daughter and I went on a 3-day equestrian safari across the Serengeti Plains. We were up close and personal with the animals, even galloping with a herd of 15 giraffes while over a hundred wildebeest and zebra joined in! The thundering of hooves is beyond an understatement!

Barolo Wine Country, Bhutan, New Zealand and chartering Princess Grace's yacht in the Galapagos Islands
What is your favorite travel trick?
Always purchase travel insurance! It is surprising how often it is used and definitely worth the extra dollars to protect your investment and peace of mind.
