Each year comes with the excitement of beautiful new hotel openings. With over 3000 new hotels set to debut this year, 2020 will definitely not disappoint. Here were sharing 10 we are super excited about to help inspire your upcoming travel plans in the New Year.

1. The Reykjavik EDITION

Innovator Ian Schrager has created a loyal following to this lifestyle brand and we sure are excited about this new addition to the group. Bringing an additional luxury property to this popular desination. The EDITION & Marriott Interenational collaboration will also be opening another three properties throughout 2020 in Toranmon- Tokyo, Rome, and Dubai.

2. Rosewood Little Dix Bay BVI

Last month Rosewood Little Dix Bay reopened its doors on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands following a 4 year post hurricane renovation overseen by a team of environmentalists, architects and designers. The resort was originally founded by Laurance Rockefeller in 1964 and the team worked to honor the resorts past while incorporating modern amenities appreciated by todays ultra luxe travelers. Those arriving to the destination by airplane in Tortola will be whisked away to the resort on one of Rosewood’s brand new luxury catamarans for a 20 minute scenic ride over to Virgin Gorda.

3. Villa Copenhagen

Villa Copenhagen, set to open in April 2020 and now booking, is sure to charm lovers of architecture and history. The city’s 1912 Danish Central Post & Telegraph Head Office has been renovated to house the new hotel located next to the Tivoli Gardens, Central Station and the Meatpacking District. The hotel features a roof terrace with 25m pool and focuses on eco-friendly luxury.

4. Four Seasons Bangkok

Set along the Chao Phraya River, this hotel features amazing panoramic views from both its river-view rooms and infinity pools. The design has a clear focus on the beautiful riverscapes with true indoor/ outdoor spaces throughout. Opening April 2020.

This $300 Million hotel, located in the Wynyard Quarter, is perfectly located on the waters edge with unobstructed views of the Waitemata Harbour. The hotel will offer 195 guest rooms, four restaurants, spa & fitness facilities, an infinity pool overlooking the harbor and true luxurious style living. Set to open later in 2020, this hotel is a perfect spot for the 2021 America’s Cup.

6. Cheval Blanc Paris

Opening Spring of 2020 this new Cheval Blanc property (part of the LVMH group) is situated perfectly along the Seine River in the heart of Paris. Designed by famous architect Peter Marino the hotel incorporates various elements of the LVMH group, including a Dior spa. 7. Aman New York

Aman New York is the hotel groups first urban development to also include residences. Located in the 1921 built Crown Building at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th St, the group will bring its oasis and sanctuary style properties to the heart of the city. The hotel includes a 20m indoor swimming pool surrounded by daybeds and fire pits as part of its spa area, a Jazz Bar and wraparound Garden Terrace overlooking Central Park.

8. Alaia Belize

Marriotts first property in Belize will open this year on the island of Ambergris Caye. The eco-friendly, 155 room resort will be a part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. It will feature a suspended rooftop pool and lounge, which takes inspiration from the country’s Great Blue Hole. The hotel will also include an onsite live art gallery, wine club which allows guests to enjoy private labels, its own dive center, and a sailing & water sports club.

9. Noni Beach, St. Thomas USVI

Opening late 2020 Noni Beach, located on St Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, is an all new resort that will offer boutique-inspired oceanfront rooms and suites with modern island-style decor. The resort will feature daily catamaran excursions, water activities, an ocean front swimming pool with swim up bar and much more. Located about 15 minutes from the airport this makes a great home destination for the virgin islands while they also offer excursions to nearby U.S. Virgin Islands St John & St Croix, as well as the British Virgin Islands.

10. Arctic Bath Hotel

Sweden’s Arctic Bath Hotel truly is one of a kind. A sister property to the country’s famous Treehouse Hotel, this resort features a floating lodge which floats freely in the summer and then will be frozen in place during winter. The hotel offers floating cabins connected to the shore by floating walk way as well as 5 person cabins along the shoreline with a full glass design along one side for the utmost viewing of the Northern Lights.
